STRONG GROUP ATHLETICS BRINGS IN ITALIAN COACH FABIO MENTA AS VOLLEYBALL CONSULTANT

Strong Group Athletics is reinforcing its volleyball program with international expertise, tapping seasoned Italian coach Fabio Menta as a consultant for all its teams.

The announcement was made Monday, marking Menta’s return to Philippine volleyball after an eight-year absence.

Menta, 63, will work alongside established head coaches Jerry Yee and Benson Bocboc, providing strategic guidance and system development.

Yee currently handles ZUS Coffee and College of Saint Benilde, while Bocboc oversees Farm Fresh and the University of the Philippines.

Additionally, Menta will lend his expertise to Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s volleyball program.

The Italian tactician last coached in the Philippines in 2016, leading Foton in the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship.

For the past two years, Menta has been at the helm of Finnish club Oriveden Ponnistus.

Now, he brings his knowledge back to the local scene, aiming to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of Strong Group’s volleyball teams.
